Who We Are
WIRED Organization Minimize

The Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development (CCWD) is the WIRED grantee.  CCWD designated Worksystems, Inc. (WSI) to administer the grant and serve as fiscal agent.  Andrew McGough (WSI) and Camille Preus (CCWD) are the project directors with overall responsibility for the grant and for managing the partnerships that make WIRED a regional effort.  Cary Harkaway (WSI) is the project manager responsible for day-to-day implementation, coordination, and required reporting.

The Regional Workforce Council includes community leaders from business, workforce development, education, and economic development.  It was established to serve the following purposes:

  • Advocate for public/private support of regional talent development.
  • Inform and advise program development.
  • Inform and advise messaging to elected officials and the business community.
  • Identify training priorities.
  • Review deliverables and data and assess the progress and success of initiatives.
  • Help align workforce resources across the region.
  • Serve as a forum for transformational approaches to talent development.

The Executive Directors of the five partnering workforce boards plus the CCWD Education and Workforce Systems Director serve as the Executive Committee of the Regional Workforce Council.  They assist in WIRED administration and implementation of WIRED initiatives in the counties they serve.

A Coordinating Committee, including workforce, college, and economic development members, coordinates the workgroups, resolves implementation issues, and focuses on system-building by looking for opportunities to enhance regional service delivery.

Workgroups established by the Regional Workforce Council or the Coordinating Committee are responsible for guiding WIRED initiatives.  Limited only by budget constraints, the workgroups are encouraged to pursue their objectives creatively.
